Margaret Goodman-Shelton

Margaret started Shelton Herb Farm in 1986 on her family’s Century Farm in Southeastern North Carolina. She and her husband Chuck raised their three sons on the farm.

While employed at the University of North Carolina Wilmington as a Marine Science Technician, Margaret was growing herbs and vegetables in her home garden, supplying fresh food for her family.

With a passion for growing and the desire to be closer to her family, Shelton Herb Farm was realized. At first offering a few varieties of Herbs, the business has grown to offer over 800 varieties of Culinary & Medicinal Herbs, Vegetables, Fruit Trees & Bushes, Native plants, as well as Pollinator and Birder friendly varieties.

Margaret has learned a lot over the years and enjoys sharing her experiences and vast knowledge.
